I first started seeing Rick in 2021 for fertility support. During my initial consult Rick delved into my medical history too and has treated me ever since for ongoing support with my general health alongside fertility support. Ricks’ knowledge is quite frankly unmatched and at every appointment I’m still amazed how I feel such a sense of calm during and after treatment. For a girl with serious sleep issues I count down to my appointments as I know I will get a few good nights of sleep following acupuncture. Rick has treated me through IVF & pregnancy, pre and post major bowel surgery and every other life event in between. For years I have suffered with migraines and offered various drugs and medical pathways that in my view would have caused other problems. Rick at Sussex Acupuncture has been a star the number of migraines I have has halved and we continue to explore opportunities to reduce this number further. I first went to Rick for acupuncture during IVF and pregnancy a few years ago. He is a skilled and empathetic practitioner who helped me through that journey, and also dealing with subsequent health and wellness issues - both physical and emotional. I started the treatments with Rick when I was 31 weeks' pregnant and I cannot thank him enough for the pain relief he offered me! I had been suffering from muscular pain around the pelvic/hips' area and back pain which affected my sleep (I was waking up every 1-2 hours). After couple of weekly treatments the back pain was eliminated and the muscular pain was reduced to a very bearable level! Rick also helped me with my digestion and ripening my cervix which contributed to the early arrival of our little boy (he was born 38 week and 4 days)!
