What can I expect?

Initial consultation & treatment - 1 hour

Subsequent session treatments - 40 mins

The needles are all single-use, sterile and very thin. A treatment will often only require two or three and once inserted, the needles will be left in place for about 20 mins. The sensation is often described as a 'tingling'.

Treatment may be supplemented with moxa (a smouldering herb that adds warmth), massage or suction cups. It is advisable to wear loose clothing.

How many treatments will I need?

The benefits of treatment are normally felt after a couple of sessions. As a general rule, chronic (longer term) symptoms take longer than acute (short term).
